Abundance holds its attention on the simplest of gestures: the act of flowering. Satish Gupta turns to the flower as a lesson in alignment. It grows, opens, and completes its cycle without strain or resistance, following the Tao as a way of moving with life rather than mastering it. In this work, abundance is not excess; it is sufficiency shaped by natural order. The triptych spreads the image across three adjoining surfaces, allowing the form to breathe laterally rather than settle into a single centre. Gold leaf establishes a luminous field that holds light softly, while layers of mixed media interrupt and temper its radiance. The surface bears variation and pause, suggesting continuity rather than emphasis. At its core, the work speaks to a moment of collective reckoning. In times marked by instability and excess, the flower offers an alternative intelligence - one rooted in responsiveness and flow. Gupta suggests that humanity is beginning to relearn this lesson: that survival and renewal do not lie in control, but in attunement. Growth occurs not by force, but by remaining in rhythm with surrounding conditions. Abundance stays with this understanding quietly. Instead, it carries a reminder that living fully does not require expansion beyond measure, but the ability to follow what is already present, allowing balance to shape movement.
