NILESH VEDE Born in 1981, this young contemporary artist who has a studied from Sir J. J. School of Arts School is rapidly making his mark on the local and national art scene with his bold and striking figurative artworks.Inspired by Vipassana meditation, Nilesh Vede describes his work as a documentation of his own personal journeys within himself. Innately gifted, Nilesh’s paintings explore the perennial obsession we have with the image we present to the outside world for approval, acceptance, and self- esteem. The deep-rooted emotional chords of sentiments used aptly, create a deep everlasting visual impact on the mind and soul. His creative endeavours certainly depict his skilful dexterity in the medium used and command in flawless compositions. His foray into textile design in the early years of his adulthood led to the ethereal textures, taking the form of motifs and ancient Sanskrit scripts, that drape the faces and dark unsolved backgrounds. The result is that Nilesh Vede’s striking yet serene paintings remain etched both within one’s consciousness and subconsciousness. Nilesh has held several solo and group shows all over India. Over the years, Nilesh’s offbeat artistic language has found resonance in the hearts of the viewers. His paintings are in proud collection of Late. Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam and several Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Amir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and many more.
