Arpitha is a distinguished Indian artist whose practice centers on traditional Indian art forms, particularly the Kerala Temple Mural style. An alumna of JNTU College of Fine Arts, Hyderabad, she holds dual M.A. degrees—in Political Science from Osmania University and in Drawing and Painting from Hamidia College, Bhopal. Her formal training at the Guruvayoor Institute of Mural Painting in Kerala laid the foundation for her signature style, which combines intricate symbolism with spiritual themes.
Beyond murals, Arpitha’s repertoire includes Miniature, Tanjore, Thangka, Cherial, Kalamkari, Pattachitra, and Phad paintings. Her work has earned her accolades such as the Kalidasa Rashtriya Puraskar (2012) and the Make in India Award (2018). She has showcased her art in exhibitions across India and internationally, including the United States.
Deeply rooted in tradition yet universally resonant, Arpitha’s work celebrates the richness of Indian culture while offering a meditative visual experience to contemporary audiences.
