FALLING WITHIN SEVEN DAYS, 2025
Engraving on Glass, Light
I n this work, I explored the cyclical nature of life and the fragile passage of time. Placing seven glass pieces on a wooden block, I symbolized the seven day- day cycle of existence- a metaphor for birth, decay, and rebirth. Each glass bears an engraved drawing of a flower, capturing its transformation from freshness to decomposition. Glass, delicate and transient, embodies the fragility of life- it can shatter at any moment, just as life can change unexpectedly within these seven days. The decaying f l ower mirrors this impermanence, illustrating the inevitable return to the earth, where it dissolves into the soil, continuing the eternal process of renewal. Through this work, I invite the viewer to reflection the unseen yet constant t ransformation within nature and ourselves- where endings are never truly final, but r ather a passage into something new.
