‘The Hazrat Khizr Mosque in Samarkand’ is an outstanding example of the traditional architecture of Uzbek. It is a rectangular structure measuring 30×16 meters. Artist’s visual language is rooted locally within Central Asia and gets its inspiration in a form of Oriental mysticism which casts the material world as an illusory fiction. Many of his compositions feature drawing that repeatedly evokes Arabic calligraphy culture as well as oriental ornamentation and miniature styling. The mosque's structure is asymmetrical. Its two main components are a column ayvan and a winter khanaqa covered with a dome.
